USEA Hydrogen Economy Webinar

Orrick partner Peter Connors and United States Energy Association (USEA) program director Michael Moore co-moderated a two-part webinar series, “Paving the Way to a Hydrogen Economy,” on hydrogen-related issues emerging from the recent Bipartisan Infrastructure Act and the pending Build Back Better Bill. The webinar consisted of four panels on 1) the national strategy for hydrogen; (2) an in-depth analysis at electrolysis options; (3) an in-depth look at production, delivery and end-use options; and (4) tax incentives for hydrogen production and storage. Sheila Hollis, Acting Executive Director of USEA, gave the keynote address on of Day 1 and Chuck McConnell, Former Assistant Secretary, Department of Energy (2011-2013) gave the keynote address on Day 2. Peter moderated panel 4 on tax incentives for hydrogen production and storage.

Other panelists included representatives from Clean Hydrogen Future Coalition, the Fuel Cell & Hydrogen Energy Association, NEL, NREL, Plug Power, Princeton University, and leading advisory firms.
