Richard has experience acting for both creditors and borrowers on a wide range of cross-border finance matters.

He regularly acts for companies in the renewable energy and technology sectors and has also been involved in advising on cross-border and domestic restructuring and insolvency issues.

    • Acted for Bioenergy Infrastructure Holdings as issuer in respect of its senior note purchase facility arranged by EIG Partners for the purchase and project financing in support of various UK bioenergy projects.
    • Acted for Voltalia in respect of a facilities agreement and supporting documentation in relation to the development of a solar project in Kenya.
    • Acted for an international financial guarantor providing credit support for various projects in Gabon.
    • Acted for an international financial guarantor in relation to the provision of a guarantee in support of a project financing for the development of a solar project in Madagascar.
    • Acted for Equinix and GIC on €850 million project facilities to acquire and develop European data centres across the European FLAP region. 
    • Acted for WorldRemit in relation to its £60m financing provided by SVB and Triplepoint Capital.
    • Acted for The Currency Cloud in relation to a refinancing of their debt.
    • Acted for Thread on its $22 million Series B financing.
