Orrick Paris Helps French Cycling Startup Alltricks Shift Into High Gear

September.06.2019

Version Française: Orrick conseille Alltricks, spécialiste de la vente en ligne de matériel de vélo et de course à pied, dans le cadre de l’acquisition par Decathlon de la majorité de son capital.

Orrick has advised French cycling equipment and running products online retailer Alltricks on its majority acquisition by Decathlon, a global leader in the production and distribution of sporting goods.

Through this transaction, Decathlon has acquired the shares in Alltricks held by PartechPartners, EntrepreneurVenture, 123IM, Sonorfi, Financière de la Gommerie and a series of business angels.

The transaction will enable Alltricks to accelerate its development through access to a network of 315 Decathlon stores throughout France. The management of Alltricks remains in the hands of its founder, Gary Anssens, who also retains a significant portion of the capital.

Orrick has been advising Alltricks since December 2015. Our multidisciplinary team on this transaction included Benjamin Cichostepski, Patrick Tardivy and Lara Donnedieu de Vabres for the tech and M&A aspects; Patrick Hubert and Lena Boucon for the competition law aspects; Emmanuel Benard and Adélaïde Jomier for the employment law aspects; and Charles Briand, Rudy Marouani and Margot Janot for the tax law aspects.
