C5 Group Inc.’s Annual Gas & LNG Supply Contracts Forum

Join partner and global head of Orrick’s Oil & Gas Practice James Atkin and partner Charles Kaplan as they participate in panels hosted by C5 Group Inc. at its annual Gas & LNG Supply Contracts Forum at the Maritim Hotel in Berlin, Germany. James will be sitting on a panel titled “Predicting Long Term Gas and LNG Contracts in a Changing Market” and Charles will participate in another panel titled “Price Reviews and Arbitration” on Wednesday, June 19, 2019.

The conference is Europe’s premier gas contracts and pricing event, and reflects the progression of an evolving European gas market. This event brings together producers, purchasers, economists and legal experts involved in gas pricing, trading and arbitration. The first panel is being moderated by Bernhard Blumberg, Senior Manager for Origination at EnBW Energie, Baden-Wurttemberg AG, and also includes Mariana Ortiz Laborde, Contracts Management Director for LNG & Gas Supply at Naturgy, and Philippe Perfumo, Head of Long Term Gas at ENGIE. The panel will focus on long term contracts, LNG contracts, major price reviews and origination of new deals and will examine the need for long-term contracts in a flexible and transparent gas market.

Charles will be joined on his panel by Dr. Phillip Jager, Legal Advisor to Gas Terra B.V. and John Trenor, a partner at another international law firm. The group will share Insights on the arbitration process and how to achieve successful arbitration.
