Marvin focuses on advising companies and start-ups in the technology industries, from the foundation to a scale up on a multi million level.

  • Start-ups: Marvin advises fast growing companies and their investors in all phases of their business formation and development. This includes financing rounds and scale-up projects as well as general corporate full service advise, commercial law and due diligence matters.
  • Corporations: Marvin provides legal full services for corporations on ongoing corporate matters, particularly with regard to mergers, acquisitions (M&A), commercial contracts and management and supervisory board issues.
  • ESG: Marvin also advises companies on their sustainability strategy and legal compliance with environmental, social, and governance (ESG) requirements, especially with focus on the European Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive (CSRD). 

Prior to joining Orrick, he worked as a trainee at a leading German law firm and one of the global leading chemicals companies.

  • Vantage Towers AG: Advising German Vantage Towers AG on a multi-billion infrastructure deal with Vodafone, KKR and Global Infrastructure Partners;

    Start-ups: Advising various German technology start-ups (communication software, fintech, electric mobility, infrastructure) on their multi-million financing rounds and (virtual) employee stock option programs (VSOP / ESOP);

    M&A: Advising a French construction material company in regard to the acquisition of a German supplier company; advising a German electronic components supplier on the merger of its subsidiaries; advising an international asset manager on the acquisition of a majority stake in the share capital of an independent fund management company

    Corporate services: Advising a German based and worldwide operating IT company on corporate law, including capital increases, preparation of annual general meetings and supervisory board aspects related to the appointment and dismissal of supervisory board members; establishment of a shelf company for a foreign investor.

    ESG: Advising different US and German companies on their sustainability strategy and ESG-requirements and reporting obligations related to the European Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive (CSRD).
