Brian Blood is a managing associate in the New York office and a member of the Mergers & Acquisitions and Private Equity Group.

His practice has focused on domestic and cross-border private company mergers and acquisitions, with deal values ranging from $750,000 to $370 million. He has also advised on a variety of corporate transactions across industries, including FinTech transactions, joint ventures, company formations and dissolutions, public offerings, equity and debt financings from both the investor and issuer side, fund financings, and alternative energy transactions. He has assisted in drafting and reviewing filings with the SEC and CFIUS, and has experience in advising on all manner of New York and Delaware corporate, partnership, limited liability company and non-profit law.

Brian was a summer associate in the firm’s New York office in 2014.

    • A representative of prominent private equity sponsors in the acquisition of a majority stake in a life settlements portfolio SPV exiting bankruptcy.
    • Aptean, Inc., a provider of industry-focused enterprise software solutions, in the strategic acquisitions of several international software companies.
    • Calbee America, the U.S. subsidiary of a Japanese food producer, in the acquisition of a majority stake in Warnock Food Products.
    • OGCI Climate Investments in a joint venture for an enhanced oil recovery and carbon sequestration facility.
    • Marubeni Corporation in the acquisition of Creekstone Farms Premium Beef.
    • An identity authentication solutions business in a strategic partnership with a call identification and fraud prevention provider.
    • Nitto Denko Corporation in the acquisitions of Avecia Biotechnology, Inc., Irvine Pharmaceutical Services, Inc. and Avrio Biopharmaceuticals, LLC.
    • RAG-Stiftung Investment Company in the acquisition of Invotech Engineering.
    • Veolia Environnement S.A. in the acquisition of the sulfur products division of The Chemours Company.
    • Superior Plus Corp. in the acquisition of the propane business of R.W. Earhart and the divestiture of its U.S. construction products distribution business.
    • Pactera Technology International, Ltd., a Chinese IT consulting and outsourcing company, in the acquisition of Blue Fountain Media.
    • Canal+ Groupe/Thema in the acquisition of Alterna’TV.
