Orrick Honored at IJGlobal ESG Awards for Renewable Energy Deal of the Year

Our Energy & Infrastructure team was recognized by the IJGlobal ESG Awards for their role as LLA (advisor to Lenders and ECAs) on the landmark Fengmiao 1 offshore wind farm in Taiwan. The award recognizes a transaction that demonstrates qualities that go far beyond the fundamentals of the renewable energy sector.
The 495MW project is one of the first offshore wind farms in the world and the first in Asia to be a truly zero subsidy project, being non-recourse financed based solely on corporate power purchases.
Orrick advised several export credit agencies, lenders (international and national) and hedge providers on the approximately US$3.1 billion deal.
