Orrick Advises Connexin on £80 Million Investment from Whitehelm Capital

We advised smart city technology company Connexin on the raising of an initial commitment of up to £80 million in funding from Whitehelm Capital.

Founded in Hull in 2006, Connexin is an innovative and disruptive technology company specializing in building and operating award-winning smart city infrastructure to support the Internet of Things. This new investment will support the expansion of Connexin to meet the expected growth in demand for smart networks in UK cities and their connecting infrastructures, enabling better connectivity, as well as smarter, more efficient services to communities. The Orrick team advising Connexin was led by Jamie Moore and included Katie Cotton, Stephen Tallon, Heidi Wardle, Kirstie Parr, Scott Morrison, Hridi Chowdhury, Ian Shaw, John Deacon, Rebecca Grevitt, Charlotte Oliver, Jai Nathwani, David O’Donovan and Francesco Palma.
