Orrick Advises Sonnedix on Acquisition of Five Photovoltaic Plants

Orrick advised Sonnedix, an independent power producer in the photovoltaic sector, in the acquisition of a 17.7 MW portfolio of five operating solar photovoltaic facilities in Sicily from the joint venture established between Canadian Solar and Manni Energy (a Manni Group company). Sonnedix focuses on the design, construction and management of renewable energy and energy efficiency plants, aimed at co-investing in photovoltaic plants to be built in Italy on a market parity basis without any form of incentive from the GSE.

The Orrick team that advised Sonnedix was led by Carlo Montella, Deputy Business Unit Leader of our global Energy and Infrastructure practice, and Special Counsel Celeste Mellone, who also handled its administrative law and due diligence profiles. The team also included trainee Jacopo Giansante for transactional profiles and trainee Alessandro Sassoli for due diligence.
