Congratulations to Orrick partner Lorraine McGowen for being named one of the Most Influential Women in Corporate America by Savoy Magazine. This annual list recognizes impressive business leaders and executives across a diverse range of industries, both nationally and globally. Lorraine has also been named to Savoy’s Most Influential Black Lawyers List two times.
Lorraine is a lead partner in the firm’s Restructuring group, and co-leads the Automotive Technology & Mobility group. With over 30 years of experience, she advises global financial institutions, syndicated lender groups, creditor committees and other parties on the front lines of their recovery crisis and investment strategies with entrepreneurial enthusiasm and a true passion for innovation. Lorraine also sits as co-chair of Orrick’s firm-wide Diversity & Inclusion Committee and creates programs for women, people of color and LGBTQ attorneys as a leading advocate for diversity and inclusion in the legal profession.
Earlier this year, Lorraine was recognized as a 2019 Rainmaker by the Minority Corporate Counsel Association (MCCA), a list that honors exceptional diverse lawyers who are leading law figures and have contributed significantly to their communities. She also won two awards from the National Bar Association recognizing her as a Lawyer of the Year and an Outstanding Woman Lawyer Minority Partner.
