Orrick Recognized Among the "50 Best Law Firms for Women" by Working Mother and Flex-Time Lawyers for the Eighth Time

July.26.2016

Orrick is proud to announce that for the eighth time we have been named one of the “50 Best Law Firms for Women” by Working Mother magazine and Flex-Time Lawyers. This annual survey recognizes law firms for their family-friendly policies and business development and career development initiatives that are aimed at advancing women lawyers. Law firms are evaluated based on the percentage of female partners and the percentage of lawyers working flexible schedules, among other criteria.

Orrick was highlighted for our groundbreaking parental leave program, which provides for 22 weeks of paid leave for a primary caregiver, total leave of up to 9 months before returning to work and robust flexible work arrangement options. The survey also praised our backup care, college coaching and parenting forums that “support all ages.”

In addition to this recognition, this year Orrick was recertified as a Women in Law Empowerment Forum (WILEF) Gold Standard Firm for the fourth time. WILEF Certification emphasizes the leadership roles achieved by women partners at the nation’s largest firms. Vault recently named Orrick the nation’s #2 Best Firm for Diversity. Earlier this year, Fortune named Orrick one of the 100 Best Companies to Work For.
