National Law Journal Names Chris Ottenweller as 2014 IP Trailblazer & Pioneer

November.05.2014

The National Law Journal has named Chris Ottenweller to its inaugural list of Intellectual Property Trailblazers & Pioneers, which recognizes the achievements of 50 IP attorneys and others who are "innovating in the field, helping to change the way copyright, patent, trademark or licensing law is practiced, or how IP is protected and managed."

Mr. Ottenweller, who has been with Orrick for over 18 years, is highlighted for his unbroken string of successes defeating patent trolls in court, including hard-fought trial victories in pro-plaintiff jurisdictions and the innovative use of sanctions awards and validity attacks to deter non-practicing entities from filing new law suits.
