On 10th March 2021, the Sustainable Finance Disclosure Regulation (Regulation (EU) 2019/2088 or "SFDR") will come into application. The SFDR introduces sustainability disclosure in the financial services sector asking market participants to provide clients and investors with information on the inclusion of ESG assessments in the investment and advisory processes. The SFDR will apply to asset management companies (both AIFMs and UCITs’s managers), investment firms and banks providing portfolio management and investment advice services under MIFID, insurance companies and intermediaries.
