On December 16-17, Orrick Restructuring Partners Evan Hollander and Lorraine McGowen will speak at a Practicing Law Institute (PLI) program entitled "Nuts and Bolts of Corporate Bankruptcy 2024." Evan is also co-chair of the event.

The program features  panels of experts over the course of two days who will discuss foundational corporate bankruptcy issues, including the options available to financially troubled companies, the timeline of a bankruptcy case, operating a company in bankruptcy, addressing both valuable and burdensome contracts and leases, avoidance powers and other bankruptcy related litigation, asset sales, preparing disclosure statements and plans of reorganization, soliciting votes and confirming a plan, obtaining third-party releases, and the ethical considerations for bankruptcy professionals.

Evan will speak on the “Overview of the U.S. Bankruptcy System and Procedures” and “Avoiding Powers – Augmentation of the Estate in Corporate Bankruptcy” panels. Lorraine will speak on “Chapter 11 Plans.”
