Melissa Baal Guidorizzi to Speak at CBA Live 2023

Partner Melissa Baal Guidorizzi will speak at two separate sessions at the Consumer Bankers Association's CBA Live 2023 event, which will be held in Las Vegas, Nevada from March 27-29.

Melissa will open the conference’s second day, March 28^th, with the panel “The Chopra CFPB: Full Speed Ahead to Destinations Unknown.” She will speak alongside Yolanda McGill, Vice President of Policy and Government Affairs at Zest AI, and Brian Johnson, a Managing Director of Patomak Global Partners’ Banking Supervision and Regulation Group.

All three former members of the CFPB, they will provide their perspectives on the agency’s agenda and direction.

Melissa will speak later on the same day on the panel "Payments: Navigating Mounting Regulatory Scrutiny & Heightened Compliance Expectations in a Digital World,” which will discuss the emergent tension between banks and fintech payments service providers in the wake of new guidance on Regulation E and the Electronic Funds Transfer Act. In this panel, audience members will learn:

• the potential implications of Reg E error resolution liability shifts on stakeholders in the payments ecosystem
• the balance of risks between market participants
• strategies for compliance and loss mitigation

Melissa will be joined for this discussion by Naeha Prakash, Vice President, Assistant General Counsel at JP Morgan Chase, and Amy Zirkle, Senior Program Manager for Payments and Deposits Markets at the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau.
