Investors are funding the energy tech and sustainability ecosystem at record highs. Global VC firms and CVCs are continuing to fund startups innovating in the renewable energy ecosystem, including infrastructure, power generation, storage, energy management, and more. Orrick Partner Yael Perl led a panel featuring Christina Karapataki (Partner, Breakthrough Energy Ventures), Ryan Panchadsaram (Adviser to the Chairman, Kleiner Perkins), and Patrick Sagisi (Director and Investment Partner, Acario Innovation - CVC and open innovation arm of the Tokyo Gas Group). The discussion examined what’s driving innovation when it is most needed and how investors are addressing short-term challenges while capitalizing on longer-term corporate priorities.
