Webinar - Recording Available

Most EU jurisdictions provide a good level of employee protection when it comes to restructurings, notably rights of protection against dismissal. While there are some similarities, the legal approach in EU member states varies substantively and has been the subject of new legislation in France. As such, the challenges Multinationals face can be quite different across borders.

In our 60 minute webinar, our International Employment Team will look at the key issues, latest developments and most common challenges that arise in restructuring scenarios in the UK, Germany, France, and Italy and provide practical and strategic guidance on how to navigate the maze of legal requirements.

Topics include

  • What are the new laws impacting restructuring?
  • The why, how, what and when of notice
  • How to calculate severance
  • What relevant procedure to follow
  • How to comply with information and co-determination rights of labor authorities, works councils and other employee representative bodies
  • How to retain key employees

MCLE credit will be given for this program.
