She will also work closely with our Cyber, Privacy & Data Innovation team. Julia joins the firm from Bredin Prat.

“Data, tech and IP are at the core of company strategy and deal strategy. We’ve added tremendous depth to our Tech Transactions team around the world recently, and we’re thrilled to add Julia’s expertise in data privacy and complex technology to our European team,” said Matthew Gemello, leader of Orrick's global Corporate practice.

“Julia brings deep knowledge of the kinds of issues that tech companies face and how the regulatory landscape will impact business. She will be a tremendous asset to our clients – particularly as they enter new markets and require strategic tech and IP licensing advice,” added Patrick Tardivy, Co-Leader, with Emmanuel Benard, of Orrick’s Paris office.

Julia advises clients on strategic digital transactions and data privacy matters. Julia is also very familiar with the commercial considerations clients face, having practiced in-house at Twitter, Financial Times and CBS for more than a decade.

“Orrick is a market leader in the tech & innovation space and has a stellar global platform. I’m incredibly excited to work with the team in Paris and around the world and collaborate with my new colleagues to establish a market leading practice,” said Julia.
