Congratulations to our client Merama, an e-commerce startup, on its $160 million Series A funding round, one of the largest ever in Latin America. The round raised $60 million in seed and Series A funding and $100 million in debt.
Valor Capital, Monashees Capital and Balderton Capital co-led the round, which included participation from TriplePoint Capital and the CEOs of four unicorns in Latin America, including Uala, Loggi, Rappi and Madeira Madeira.
The Orrick team advising Merama was led by Samir Bakhru and includes Jake Routhier, Kathryn Montalvo and Luke Tenley.
