Orrick and Paris Europlace Host Roundtable on Sustainable Infrastructure in Africa

On October 9, members of Orrick’s Africa practice in Paris team co-hosted a roundtable discussion on “Financing Sustainable Infrastructure in Africa: What Are Long-Term Strategic Challenges?”  The event took place as part of Paris Infraweek and was co-hosted by Orrick with Paris Europlace, the organization in charge of the promotion and the development of Paris as key financial marketplace.

The roundtable discussion was facilitated by an editor from Africa Presse and included panelists Yves Lepage, Orrick partner and head of the firm’s Africa practice; Pascale Albert-Lebrun, Deputy General Director of Eranove; Yann de Nanteuil, Deputy Head of Africa, the Mediterranean Basin & Overseas of Société Générale; Samuel Goldstein, Development Director Africa of Meridiam; and Gregory Ness, Executive Director of Project/Export Finance, Africa of Standard Chartered Bank.

The seminar was attended by more than 100 key players in the sector and included representatives of Bouygues Construction, Vinci Airports and Vinci Concessions, Egis, Eneo, Engie, Eranove, Keolis, the French Ministry of Energy transition, the French Ministry of Finance, Natixis, Scor, Société Générale, Veolia and PSA Peugeot Citroen.
