Italiano: Orrick Italia: Marco Boldini Head del Regulatory e Fintech
Orrick announced today that leading regulatory and fintech lawyer Marco Boldini has joined the firm as a partner and Head of its Italian Financial Services Regulatory practice. He joins Orrick from PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC), where he served as Head of its UK Financial Services Regulatory practice. Marco will split his time between Orrick’s Milan and London offices, where he will work closely with Jacqui Hatfield, Head of Orrick’s UK Financial Services Regulatory team.
Marco is a leading authority on financial services regulations, including but not limited to AIFMD, UCITS, PRIIPs, FCA Handbook and Brexit-related topics, as well as on all aspects of funds-related work. He advises clients on MIFID II and compliance matters before the UK’s Financial Conduct Authority and Italian regulatory authorities. Marco also has deep knowledge of the fintech sector, particularly blockchain and cryptocurrency matters.

Named Legal 500 UK’s in-house Regulatory Lawyer of the Year for 2019, Marco serves as Italian Honorary Consul in the United Kingdom to the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, as well as to the Foreign and Commonwealth Office. He is also a member of the advisory board of the Italians’ Private Capital Association in London.

Prior to PwC, Marco served as European Regulatory Director at asset management firm ETF Securities in London. He is a Solicitor in England and Wales, a fully qualified UK Barrister (Middle Temple Inn) and a Notary in England and Wales, as well as an avvocato in Italy.
