Orrick Expands IP Practice with Three More Partner Hires

• Danielle Tully, Mike Powell and Josh Glucoft join Orrick’s IP litigation team as partners. Their arrival follows the announcement last week of the addition of former USPTO Solicitor Farheena Rasheed.
• Danielle, a veteran first-chair IP trial lawyer based in New York, joins from Cadwalader, Wickersham & Taft, where she most recently served as co-chair of the Global Litigation and Intellectual Property Groups. She is joined by Mike, an experienced litigator in the toughest U.S. patent districts. The duo, which has worked together for 13 years, advises clients in high-stakes patent, trade secret, copyright, trademark, and other commercial cases in the tech and life sciences sectors, including medical device technologies. Both hold degrees in biology.
• Josh is an L.A.-based IP trial lawyer who has litigated patents in the fields of electrical engineering, computer science, and medical device technologies in both District Court and the ITC. He was formerly a partner at Kirkland & Ellis and brings a technical background grounded in a master’s degree in electrical engineering.
• Danielle, Mike and Josh join an Orrick team American Lawyer recognized as an IP Litigation Department of the Year finalist for the second time in a row in 2025 (fourth time overall).
