Florent Lewkowicz focuses on mergers & acquisitions (including Tech M&A), private equity and complex financial restructurings.

Florent Lewkowicz's practice focuses on corporate law as well as mergers & acquisitions in France and worldwide.

He developed particular experience in the sale and acquisition of startups, as well as in transactional and corporate law matters relating to complex financial restructurings.

Florent has been involved in major financial restructurings (Opea, Casino group) and major exits, particularly in France and the USA (Getaround/Drivy, Glose/Medium, Lalilo/Renaissance Learning, Tempow/Google, Context/Integral Ad Science, Cajoo/Flink, Heap/ContentSquare).

Prior to joining Orrick in November 2018, Florent was an associate at a leading US law firm.

    • Attestor and Davidson Kempner in connection with the financial restructuring of group Gasino;
    • Five financial institutions coordinating a group of unsecured creditors in connection with the financial restructuring of Orpea; 
    • Semper in its sale to Crowdcube;
    • Heap in its sale to Contentsquare;
    • Aptean, a global provider of mission-critical enterprise software solutions, in its acquisition of Groupe Mistral, a French provider of enterprise resource planning (ERP) solutions designed for dealers and distributors of agricultural and construction equipment;
    • Trimble in its acquisition of Bilberry;
    • Geogas LNG in its acquisition of a stake in Gazocean;
    • Cajoo Technology, a large instant delivery startup based in France, in connection with its sale to Flink;
    • De Krassny GmbH, in its sale of Kem One group, a leading European producer of polyvinyl chloride (PVC), to Apollo;
    • Context, a Paris-based digital content classification company, in connection with its sale to Integral Ad Science, a global leader in digital media quality;
    • Dataiku, one of the world's leading AI and machine learning platforms, in connection with its acquisition of Datarocks, a France-based startup;
    • Plüm Energie, a France-based green energy supplier, in connection with its sale to Octopus Energy;
    • Tempow, a Paris-based startup developing application based on Bluetooth protocol, in connection with its sale to Google;
    • Spayne Lindsay & Co., a leading agri-food and consumer goods investment bank in Europe and the UK, in connection with the signature of a partnership agreement with Messis Finance, covering large, international M&A transactions and Messis Finance;
    • Nobilia, European industrial leader in the manufacture of kitchen furniture, in its acquisition of a stake in Groupe Abbou, the holding company of the group Aviva;
    • Lalilo, a Paris-based startup offering a web application in SaaS mode dedicated to learn-to-read, in connection with its sale to U.S.-based Renaissance Learning, Inc. (Renaissance);
    • Glose, a Paris-based startup specializing in the distribution of ebooks, in connection with its sale to Medium, the U.S. micro-blogging social network;
    • the French water treatment group Saur in its acquisition of the Dutch company Nijhuis Industries, a leader in the industrial water treatment sector;
    • Geogas LNG, a joint venture among DIF Core Infrastructure Fund I, Geogas Maritime and Access Capital Partners, on the acquisition of a 50% stake in a French incorporated company jointly held with Nippon Yusen Kabushiki Kaisha (NYK) and dedicated to the ownership and the operation of liquefied natural gas carriers;

    • Parrot in connection with its €298 million share capital increase via a public rights offering in France and an international private placement outside the United States in compliance with Regulation S and within the United States to qualified institutional buyers (2015).
