Malik Idri is a competition lawyer in Orrick's Paris office.

Malik practice focuses on French and European competition law, on both transactional and litigation cases: merger control, antitrust litigation before the French Competition Authority and the European Commission, as well as litigation cases before courts.

He is experienced in abuse of dominant position, with a particular emphasis on the telecommunication sector. He notably dedicated his doctoral thesis to the opening up of competition of the French phone network and he worked at the French sector regulator (ARCEP). Recently he advised SFR on a number of litigation matters including the Orange case which resulted in an unprecedented decision with the highest fine ever imposed by the French competition authority.

Over the last years, he has also developed a recognized experience in follow-on damage actions representing claimants before the European Commission and French courts.

Columnist for the Concurrences review he regularly contributes to the « Chronique du conten-tieux de la réparation » section and teaches Competition and Distribution Law at the University Aix-Marseille.

Prior to joining Orrick, Malik was an associate at the Parisian office of a magic circle law firm.
