TJ advises institutional investors, private equity sponsors, global infrastructure investors and their portfolio companies on high-value real estate transactions, with a particular focus on data center and digital infrastructure assets.

His practice spans the full deal lifecycle, including acquisitions, dispositions, financings, joint ventures, preferred equity investments and sale-leasebacks, across data center, industrial and mixed-use retail properties.

TJ has developed deep experience in digital infrastructure, advising some of the sector’s most active capital providers on multibillion-dollar data center transactions. His experience spans platform-level acquisitions, gigawatt-scale hyperscale campus developments, joint ventures involving stabilized hyperscale assets and significant financings for operators of high-density, liquid-cooled facilities designed for enterprise AI. From M&A and ground-up development to hyperscaler leasing and capital raising, TJ brings an integrated perspective on how accelerating AI demand is reshaping real estate investment and development.

Alongside his digital infrastructure work, TJ represents real estate private equity funds and investment managers in joint ventures, acquisitions, preferred equity investments, mortgage and construction financings and dispositions.

Engagements
- Blue Owl in its $20 billion development of a 1 GW data center campus located in Dona Ana County, New Mexico, leased to a hyperscaler tenant.
- An investor consortium comprising AI Infrastructure Partnership, MGX and BlackRock’s Global Infrastructure Partners in its $40 billion acquisition of Aligned Data Centers, a provider of data center solutions, from Macquarie Asset Management.
- Colovore, a leading owner and operator of ultra-dense, liquid-cooled data centers purpose-built for enterprise AI infrastructure in the metro edge backed by affiliates of King Street Capital Management, in a $925 million financing provided by Blackstone funds.
- TPG Real Estate on its joint venture with Digital Realty (NYSE: DLR), the largest global provider of cloud- and carrier-neutral data center, colocation and interconnection solutions, in which TPG acquired majority stake in three stabilized hyperscale data centers in Northern Virginia and the related financing thereof. The three hyperscale data centers were contributed to the joint venture at an aggregate value of $1.5 billion.
- A client in connection with the procurement of power for a vacant land site and negotiation of a powered land loan.
- A borrower in connection with the $635 million refinancing of an industrial portfolio, including approximately $20 million of future advances.
- A private equity sponsor in connection with various performing and non-performing loan acquisitions.
- Ares Management, through Ares Real Estate Funds, on a joint venture with Northwood Investors for the $180 million acquisition of a mixed-use retail center in Texas in connection with a $129.8 million mortgage loan.
- A real estate private equity fund in its $85 million disposition of an office property in Georgia.
- A real estate private equity fund in its preferred equity investment to a joint venture for the acquisition and simultaneous construction financing of a hotel in Tennessee.
- A private equity firm in its sale-leaseback of an industrial property in New Jersey.
- Various real estate matters in connection with Rite Aid Corporation’s and its affiliates’ prearranged Chapter 11 cases in the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the District of New Jersey.
