Dawit is an associate in the Technology Companies Group in Orrick's New York Office.
Dawit advises companies throughout their lifecycle, including in formation, general corporate matters, venture capital financings, and secondary transactions. In addition to advising high-growth technology companies, Dawit represents leading venture capital firms in connection with their investments in private companies. Prior to Orrick, Dawit was an associate in the Financial Institutions Group at Sullivan and Cromwell LLP in New York.
Dawit received his J.D. from Columbia Law School, where he served as an editor and treasurer on the Columbia Law Review. Prior to Law School, Dawit attended the University of Redlands as the Ralph and Hazel Osborn Endowed Scholar where he graduated Phi Beta Kappa with a B.A., Magna Cum Laude, in English Literature and Political Science.
