Mitasha brings over a decade of experience advising clients in the energy, natural resources and infrastructure sectors with a primary focus on oil and gas, liquefied natural gas (LNG) and energy transition.

She specializes in complex cross-border M&A, disposals, joint ventures, project development and financing, and corporate advisory matters across the full energy value chain – from concession applications to downstream trading.

Mitasha has led transactions and projects in over 50 jurisdictions, with extensive experience across Europe, Africa, and Asia, including first market entries and cross-border projects. She is highly skilled in structuring host government and support arrangements in emerging markets.

  • Oil & Gas

    • ADNOC on its joint venture with bp for gas development in areas of mutual interest, including the contribution by bp to the JV of its interests in the Shorouk, North Damietta, North El Burg, North El Tabya, Bellatrix-Seti East and North El Fayrouz concessions in Egypt.
    • Murphy Oil in connection with the US$2.127 billion sale of its participating interests in the Block K, Block H, SK 309, SK 311, SK 314A and SK 405B PSCs (Malaysia) to PTT Exploration and Production Company (PTTEP).
    • Jadestone Energy in connection with the acquisition of a 90% participating interest in the Lemang PSC in Indonesia from Mandala Energy.
    • Marathon Oil on the disposal of its entire UK North Sea oil and gas portfolio to RockRose Energy plc.
    • Marubeni on the auction sale of its entire UK North Sea business to Ithaca Energy.
    • E.ON in relation to the sale of its shares in its UK E&P upstream portfolio comprising equity interests in 80 licenses and acting as English counsel on the sale of E.ON’s Norway E&P business for US$1.6 billion to LetterOne.
    • bp on its acquisition of additional interests in the West Nile Delta project offshore Egypt.

    LNG

    • ADNOC Trading on its 20-year LNG SPA with Next Decade for 1.9 mtpa of lower-carbon LNG on a FOB basis from the Rio Grande LNG facility in Brownsville, Texas.
    • Berkshire Hathaway Energy Co. on its acquisition of limited partnership interests in Cove Point LNG (Maryland, USA) from Dominion Energy, Inc.
    • Wholly owned subsidiaries of Marathon Oil Corporation on a five-year LNG SPA with Glencore Energy UK sourced from their interests in the Alba Unit in Equatorial Guinea.
    • A confidential company on its long-term purchase of LNG on a FOB basis (3 mtpa for twenty years) from the Sabine Pass and Corpus Christi projects in the United States, as well as a short-term LNG SPA for bridging volumes.
    • Mozambique LNG, whose sponsors include Total, Mitsui & Co., Ltd., PTTEP, ONGC Videsh, Bharat PetroResources, Oil India and ENH, on a long-term LNG sale and purchase agreement for the sale of one million tonnes per annum of LNG to PT Pertamina (Persero).
    • Nauticor on a long-term LNG SPA with Novatek for supplies from Vostok’s LNG.
    • Nauticor on agreements for the sale of bunker fuel via ship and truck.
    • Asterion Industrial Partners on the acquisition of a 25% stake in FluxDune and, indirectly, an approximately 15% stake in Dunkerque LNG (France’s largest LNG receiving and regasification terminal facility).

    Project Development and Energy Infrastructure

    • Marathon Oil on various project matters relating to its ownership and operatorship of the Alba Plant and Alba Unit and the LNG facility in Equatorial Guinea.
    • Tullow Oil, Maersk Oil & Gas and Africa Oil Corporation on the development of their Kenyan upstream assets and the development and financing of the crude oil export pipeline.
    • Woodside Energy and its joint venture partners Cairn Energy, FAR Limited and Petrosen on the development of the SNE oil project offshore Senegal.
    • The Public Investment Fund of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (PIF) on the project aspects of its minority investment alongside BlackRock in Saudi Aramco’s Jafurah Midstream Project in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
    • Asterion Industrial Partners on its acquisition from TotalEnergies of a 50% stake in Compagnie Electrique de Bretagne which owns a 448 MW CCGT in Landivisiau, France, including the route to market arrangements.
    • An infrastructure fund on the potential acquisition of Calisen, a UK smart metering business.
    • A PE fund on the potential acquisition of Brush Group from One Equity Partners.
    • An asset manager on the potential acquisition of a Nordic-focused renewable energy sources platform, actively engaged in hydro, onshore wind, solar and BESS projects in Norway, Sweden and Denmark.
