Cameron Onumah

Cameron Onumah is a Director in Orrick’s Public Policy Group, where he advises companies in highly regulated industries on state legislative and regulatory strategy. He brings extensive experience across government and the private sector, having served as a senior aide in the United States Senate and as a public policy executive within a Fortune 10 company.

Before joining Orrick, Cameron served as Head of Public Policy for Amazon MGM Studios and Amazon Prime Video. In this role, he worked directly with governors, legislative leaders, and regulatory officials across the country, and oversaw strategic philanthropy and community engagement for Amazon’s global media and entertainment business.

Earlier in his career, Cameron was a senior aide to U.S. Senator Dianne Feinstein, advising on emerging technology, economic development, and criminal justice reform. He later served as Deputy Campaign Manager and Political Director for Senator Feinstein’s successful 2018 re-election campaign, managing statewide political strategy and coalition engagement.

In 2023, Cameron was appointed by Mayor Karen Bass to serve as a Commissioner of Tourism for the City of Los Angeles, further demonstrating his commitment to public service and community development. Cameron is a graduate of Augustana College, where he earned a B.A. in Political Science and Communication Studies. He also served on the college’s board of trustees as its youngest elected member.
