Kristina "Krissy" McKenna is an Intellectual Property lawyer who utilizes her engineering background and unique experience as both a District of Delaware and Federal Circuit law clerk to help clients with their most nuanced intellectual property needs.
Krissy's practice focuses on patent infringement litigation, trademark and copyright litigation, and other intellectual property matters involving a wide variety of technologies, including software, pharmaceuticals, and medical devices, in federal district courts and before the U.S. International Trade Commission.
Prior to joining Orrick, Krissy clerked for Chief Judge Leonard P. Stark of the United States District Court for the District of Delaware and for the Honorable Kathleen M. O'Malley at the United States Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit. Krissy graduated with high honors and as a member of The Order of the Coif from George Washington University Law School, where she was recognized for her repeated moot court success, garnering awards for Best Overall Competitor, Best Overall Speaker, and Top Five Individual Mooter. Prior to law school, Krissy worked in various laboratories spanning fields from immunology to nanotechnology and tissue engineering to nuclear physics. This experience, combined with her federal clerkships, allows Krissy to be a chameleon in her field, constantly drawing on her scientific and judicial experience to adapt to individual clients' needs and provide personalized results.
