Katherine advises clients in the energy and infrastructure sectors on corporate, project development, and offtake matters, with a particular focus on renewable energy generation and storage assets.
Katherine's practice focuses on drafting and negotiating a wide range of offtake contract structures, including complex power purchase agreements, physical and financial swaps, and carbon attribute agreements. She also has extensive experience with energy commodity purchase agreements using industry standard forms such as ISDA, NAESB, and EEI.
Prior to joining Orrick, Katherine served as in-house counsel at an energy trading company and a global battery optimizer. Her firsthand experience in energy trading and commercial operations allows her to anticipate clients needs and craft agreements that reflect market realities.
