Tyler advises clients in the energy and infrastructure sectors on financing, corporate and project development matters, with a particular focus on renewable energy generation and storage assets.

Tyler structures and negotiates a broad range of strategic transactions on behalf of sponsors, investors and lenders, including tax equity, cash equity, and debt financings, tax credit transfers, mergers and acquisitions, and joint ventures at both the company and project levels. He also negotiates project contracts for renewable energy projects and transactions with respect to the financing and development of satellites, data centers and other digital infrastructure assets.

    • Tokyo Gas America Ltd., as sponsor, in the tax equity financing of a 631 MW solar project in Texas.
    • Tokyo Gas America Ltd., as sponsor, in the tax equity financing of a 174 MW battery energy storage project in Texas (and related tax credit transfer transactions).
    • Advantage Capital Partners as tax equity investor in two solar projects, totaling 160 MW, each in Alabama (and related tax credit transfer transactions).
    • Scale Microgrid Solutions, as sponsor, in the tax equity financing of a portfolio of six community solar and distributed generation projects (and related tax credit transfer transactions).

    • A private equity firm, as sponsor, in the tax equity financing of a portfolio of ten solar projects located in Maine.
    • SunPower Corporation, as sponsor, in the mezzanine debt financing of a portfolio of consumer loans advanced to finance the purchase of rooftop solar systems.
    • A private equity firm, as lender/investor, in the issuance of secured debt by a U.S. battery energy storage system developer and in a tax equity investment in a portfolio of battery energy storage system projects owned by such developer (and related tax credit transfer transactions).
    • A private equity firm, as sponsor, in the construction and term debt financings and project contracts for two portfolios of solar projects, each in Michigan.
    • A global alternative investment management firm, as lender, in its purchase of $400MM of convertible promissory notes issued by an international energy company with a portfolio of development-stage solar projects in the U.S.
    • A major commercial bank, as lender, in the construction and term debt financings of an 83 MW solar project in Texas. 
    • A major U.S. data center company, as sponsor, in the refinancing of its corporate debt facilities.
    • A U.S. government agency, as lender, in the debt financing of the launch services and insurance policies for a geostationary satellite operated by an international satellite operator.
    • A major commercial bank, as lender, in the receivables financing of certain launch services agreements entered into by a major launch services provider.
    • A private equity firm, as sponsor, in the financing of the acquisition of a major airport logistics company.

    • A major international energy company in a strategic joint venture with a U.S. renewable energy project developer.
    • A private equity firm in the acquisition of a 50% interest in a 180 MW solar project in Ohio and a 60% interest in a 182 MW wind project in Texas from a major international energy company.
    • A private equity firm in the acquisition of a 49% interest in three wind projects in the U.S. with an aggregate capacity of 551 MW and an 80% interest in a 175 MW wind project in Canada from a major international energy company.
    • A private equity firm in the acquisition of a 49% interest in two wind projects and one solar project, each in the U.S., with an aggregate capacity of 665 MW from a major international energy company.
