Mairead Hannon, a chartered legal executive lawyer in the London office, is a member of the Real Estate Group, focusing predominantly on commercial residential property transactions.

Mairead has extensive experience acting for both private developers and social housing providers on the sale of development land, i.e. plot sales including transfers of part, leases and shared ownership leases including the creation of the sales package and associated infrastructure agreements.

Mairead has specialist expertise in advising landlords and tenants in respect of voluntary and statutory lease extensions, the right of first refusal and collective enfranchisement.

    • Acted for a registered provider in relation to a number of enfranchisement transactions.

    • Acted for a registered provider on the setting up and sale of the shared ownership plot sales in a development consisting of 194 shared ownership units.
    • Advised on a range of one-off disposals for social housing providers including staircasing transactions (by way of memorandum and transfers of part and whole); social homebuy; right to buy and right to acquire.
    • Advised on the commercial lettings and associated transactions at some of the UK's prime/major shopping centres.
