Peter Lamb, a partner working across our Silicon Valley and Pacific Northwest offices, is a member of the Corporate Group. Pete advises both emerging and well-established private and public technology and life sciences companies, as well as private equity sponsors.

Peter advises private equity funds and their portfolio companies on M&A and minority and majority investments. He also advises a range of late-stage private technology companies, including Aptean, Duetto Research, Sagent Lending Solutions, Stripe and Trax Retail.

He has advised on the IPOs of companies such as Twist Bioscience, Elevate Financial, AVG Technologies, Pandora Media, Chegg, Portola Pharmaceuticals, Versartis and ZS Pharma. He also recently advised Planet Labs in its acquisition of Google’s Terra Bella satellite business, IronPlanet on its dual track IPO/M&A process that resulted in its sale to Ritchie Brothers. His experience includes a wide range of public and private company M&A, growth equity and public market financings for tech, life sciences and private equity clients, including numerous cross-border buy- and sell-side M&A presentations, including the US$1.3 billion sale of AVG Technologies to Avast Software.

Prior to joining Orrick, Peter was with Davis Polk & Wardwell.
