Jon Harris helps clients navigate complex intellectual property disputes, with an emphasis on managing all phases of discovery to prepare cases for trial. Jon’s practice focuses on Section 337 investigations before the U.S. International Trade Commission and patent litigation in U.S. District Courts.

Jon Harris is an IP litigator with expertise in all facets of discovery. He has experience negotiating ESI agreements and protective orders, managing document collections and reviews, challenging and defending privilege claims, managing third party discovery in domestic and international disputes, and preparing witnesses for deposition. Jon focuses on preparing cases for trial, having participated in multiple jury trials and evidentiary hearings before the ITC.

Jon began his legal career as a judicial law clerk to the Honorable Karen K. Caldwell of the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Kentucky.

Jon earned his law degree from the University of Kentucky College of Law, where he was a member of the Kentucky Law Review. Jon completed a master’s degree in Civil Engineering and a bachelor’s degree in Physics, both from Virginia Tech. Prior to law school, Jon worked as an engineer in southwest Virginia and volunteered with a children’s home in Central America.
