James represents issuers, underwriters, initial purchasers and placement agents in connection with public offerings and private placements.

James advises clients across the capital markets on financing a variety of asset classes, including residential and commercial mortgages, student loans, re-securitizations, collateralized debt obligations, and charter school receivables. He has also represented municipal and state agencies in connection with municipal bond transactions.

He represents both issuers and underwriters in public offerings and private placements and has in-depth experience representing clients at all stages of a deal’s lifecycle, from origination and whole loan sale, through warehouse financing and securitization and including ongoing work like mortgage loan modifications and bond refinancings.

James is an avid triathlete and the winner of a number of triathlons, including the 2016 North Carolina Ironman.
