Amy Lenz is a lawyer in Orrick's Complex Litigation and Dispute Resolution Group in Chicago. Amy's practice encompasses complex civil and appellate litigation with extensive experience litigating class actions involving consumer protection and data privacy laws.
Amy's litigation practice is diverse and includes representation of clients most often in technology and financial industries in state court, federal court, appellate court, and arbitration. Amy has litigated over 30 class actions involving data breaches or actions brought pursuant to consumer protection or data privacy statutes such as the Fair Credit Reporting Act, Video Protection Privacy Act, Illinois' Biometric Information Privacy Act, Telephone Consumer Protection Act, and the California Consumer Privacy Act.
Prior to joining Orrick, Amy worked at Baker Hostetler in Chicago as an associate in the Digital Assets and Data Management group. During this time, Amy was recognized as an Illinois Super Lawyer - Rising Star in Class Action matters. She also assisted on the trial and appellate team that led to an Illinois Supreme Court win in Mosby, et al. v. Ingalls Memorial Hospital, 2023 IL 129081, a seminal case interpreting Illinois' Biometric Information Privacy Act.
