Allison Kratz is an associate in Orrick's Technology Transactions Group who brings a business-focused approach to technology and commercial transactions, informed by her prior in-house experience as a general counsel.
Allison advises clients on a broad range of technology transactions and commercial matters, including SaaS agreements, software licensing, MSAs, and other commercial agreements. She is based in Orrick's New York City Office.
Before joining Orrick, Allison served as a General Counsel and Privacy Officer at a SaaS company. In that role, she negotiated commercial transactions and advised executive leadership on compliance, corporate matters, privacy, intellectual property, and emerging technology. She also shaped the company's compliance program and established its AI governance program.
Having worked inside technology businesses, Allison understands how commercial agreements operate after they are signed. She brings that perspective to her client work, helping clients structure agreements that reflect the legal, operational, and strategic considerations that shape business decisions.
