Based in London, international dispute resolution associate Lucy Preston primarily focuses on disputes arising out of the energy and construction sector.

She has worked with clients in a variety of sectors and in many dispute forums, with a particular focus on ICC and LCIA arbitrations.
    • Represented a European oil and gas contractor in an ICC claim over the cancellation of a major offshore pipeline project
    • Advised and represented a global contractor in an ICC arbitration regarding a major infrastructure project in Saudi Arabia
    • Represented a leading contractor in the oil and gas industry in an LCIA dispute regarding variations and prolongation in relation to the supply of two vessels
    • Acted on a number of ICC arbitrations in connection with the design and construction of major maritime project in Central America
    • Represented and advised an international EPC contractor and specialist waste-to-energy plant provider in major disputes concerning the design of a waste-to-energy plant in the UK
    • Represented investors in expropriation and unfair treatment claim against the Republic of Costa Rica under the Dominican Republic – Central America Free Trade Agreement (“DR-CAFTA”)
    • Represented an International Financial Institution in arbitration proceedings against a mining company concerning a multimillion-dollar loan dispute
