Brendan McGuire is a Managing Associate in Orrick's Antitrust and Competition practice group. Brendan focuses his practice on competitor and merger litigations, as well as criminal cartel investigations.
Brendan's experience covers all stages of litigation, including preparing pleadings, conducting discovery, motion practice, and trial. In addition to his litigation practice, Brendan has experience representing individuals in criminal cartel matters before government regulators. Brendan also advises clients seeking regulatory approval for mergers and acquisitions.
From 2023 to 2024, Brendan clerked for the Honorable Kayla McClusky of the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Louisiana. From 2024 to 2025, he clerked for the Honorable Anna Blackburne-Rigsby of the District of Columbia Court of Appeals.
Brendan received his J.D. from Duke University School of Law where he served as Managing Editor of the Alaska Law Review. He received his A.B. in History with departmental and general honors from the University of Chicago.
