Nickolas Bohl is a member of Orrick's regulatory and enforcement team and cybersecurity team. He has significant experience as a former Assistant United States Attorney and Washington State Assistant Attorney General managing civil fraud investigations and civil litigation. Before that, Nick was an intellectual property litigator for over a decade. He is adept at navigating the labyrinth of government agencies, traversing byzantine regulatory schemes, and managing complex litigation. Whatever the matter, Nick will vigorously strive to solve his client's issues in the most effective, practical way possible.
Nick has vast experience in both the public and private sector. Initially, he leveraged his computer science background and litigated intellectual property matters, primarily focusing on high stakes patent litigation on behalf of Fortune 500 companies. After that, Nick served both the Washington State Attorney General's Office and the United States Attorney's Office, for almost a decade. Through that experience, Nick has led successful government investigations regarding the False Claims Act, first-chaired two trials, and managed numerous complex matters across a variety of disciplines.
Based on these experiences, Nick advises clients on government investigations, regulatory and enforcement actions, cybersecurity matters, and general civil litigation. Through his deep knowledge of government practices, Nick can help clients navigate difficult and complex investigations and actions and find creative, effective solutions for their needs.
