Michelle's practice focuses on energy and infrastructure project development and acquisitions.

Her work includes executing project development arrangements, early development oversight, power purchase agreements, EPC and equipment supply agreements (including warranty packages), project financing, and project sale and acquisition agreements.

Over the past decade, Michelle has been active in renewable energy development, encompassing wind energy projects in the United States, Europe and Asia, utility-scale solar energy projects in the United States and the formation and investment activities of energy investment funds. Michelle has also represented a wide range of clients in general corporate law, private equity, restructuring, share and asset purchases, structured financing, bank finance and leasing.

    • Setouchi Future Creations LLC (a special purpose company consisting of GE Energy Financial Services, Toyo Engineering Corp. and Kuni Umi Asset Management Co.) in its joint venture equity investment into the massive 231.44 MW Setouchi Solar Project.
    • The project sponsors and owners of wind energy projects located in California, Oregon, Texas, Illinois, Japan and Europe.
    • The sponsor or initial investors in wind energy development funds in Europe and the Philippines.
    • Japanese equity investors in a natural gas-fired combined cycle power generating facility in Ontario, Canada.
    • The project sponsor of the first utility-scale, project-financed PV solar project in the United States, which was awarded “Renewables Deal of the Year 2010".
