Quin Waterbury is a Science Advisor within Orrick's Intellectual Property Group, where he leverages his scientific expertise to support complex life science patent litigation matters.
Dr. Waterbury utilizes his technical background in biology and biochemistry to support clients in a variety of complex life science intellectual property matters. He brings extensive knowledge in cell biology, immunology, and oncology, as well as preclinical development of peptide and small molecule drugs.
Prior to joining Orrick, Dr. Waterbury performed research in Dr. Timothy Wang's lab at Columbia University, where he studied how changes in body weight affect the innate immune system, and the development of anti-obesity therapeutics. He was also involved in several projects studying the cellular origin of gastrointestinal cancers, and designing antitumor peptides.
