Fund Investments
Mary has recently represented insurance companies in connection with the following investments:
- $50 million investment in AEA Middle Market Debt Fund III, LP, a $200 million fund formed to make investments in senior secured loans in middle market companies
- $100 million investment in Strategic Partners VII, L.P., a $6 billion fund formed to make secondary private equity investments
- $50 million investment in AEA Investors Small Business Fund III LP, a $400 million fund that sponsors control-oriented private equity investments in growing companies
- 50 million Euro expansion capital investment in TDR Capital II Holdings L.P., an English limited liability partnership to which approximately 1.5 billion Euro in assets were contributed and with respect up to 750 million Euro in follow-on investments are anticipated
Mary also recently represented two public pension plans in connection with each of their $400 million investments in Stonepeak Infrastructure Fund II LP, a $2.5 billion fund investing in middle-market infrastructure investments
Co-investments
Mary's recent co-investment transactions include:
- Public pension plan's $35 million equity co-investment in connection with the acquisition of ExteNet Systems, an owner and operator of distributed network systems and other wireless infrastructure
- Insurers' $13 million second lien loan to Generation Brands Holdings, Inc., providing lighting for commercial and residential uses
- Insurers' $9.75 million sub debt and equity co-investment in connection with the acquisition of Hickory Springs Manufacturing Company by Elite Comfort Solutions LLC, which develops and makes specialty foam for the bedding/home furnishing industry
- Insurers' $15 million sub debt and equity co-investment in Dexter Axle Company and its parent, a trailer axle and break manufacturer, in connection with the acquisition of BLITZ F15-482 GMBH and AL-KO Kober SE
- Insurers' $10 million sub debt co-investment in Carter-Waters LLC, the leading mid-West distributor of construction materials
- Insurers' and insurance company separate account's $5 million equity co-investment in CFS 915 Credit, LLC, the owner of Cardiac Science Corporation, a leading designer and manufacturer of AEDs
