“Andrew Treptow is a cyber, privacy, and data innovation lawyer who serves clients by strengthening their cybersecurity incident preparedness, guiding them through privacy compliance requirements, and helping them maximize their data value.
Andrew advises companies on privacy and cybersecurity incident planning and response, breach investigations, notification obligations, and litigation and regulatory enforcement actions. His expertise is informed by his prior experience in Orrick’s Intellectual Property business unit, and he remains focused on issues overlapping cyber, privacy, data, patents, copyrights, and trade secrets.
Before joining Orrick, Andrew was a Special Assistant United States Attorney in the Southern District of California, serving in the criminal division. He made over one hundred appearances in federal district and magistrate court.
Andrew also served in the United States Marines, and is a combat veteran of Iraq and Afghanistan. His final military assignment was at the Pentagon as the senior special assistant to the Counsel for the Commandant of the Marine Corps.
