Jake advises project developers and facility operators on the development of pipeline and LNG assets across North America and on matters before the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC) and the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE).
Jake focuses on the development of natural gas infrastructure, including liquefied natural gas terminals and natural gas pipelines, and advises companies on securing permits and authorizations for major energy projects from FERC and DOE.
Jake's experience before FERC encompasses natural gas rate and tariff proceedings, enforcement and compliance matters, and applications for certificates and authorizations under the Natural Gas Act.
Represented multiple interstate natural gas pipeline companies in NGA section 4 general rate cases before FERC.
Represented municipal electric utility in contested proceeding before FERC.
Conducted compliance audit of FERC-jurisdictional oil pipeline.
Conducted internal investigation of local distribution companies’ natural gas acquisition practices during 2021 Texas winter storm.
