Chris Su is a managing associate in Orrick's Mergers & Acquisitions and Private Equity Group and is based in San Francisco. Chris has a wide range of M&A deal experience across industries, including in the technology, infrastructure and healthcare sectors.

Chris represents public and private companies, including private equity funds and their portfolio companies, in domestic and cross-border acquisitions, divestitures, control and minority investments, reorganizations, other strategic transactions, as well as general corporate governance matters.

Interests

  • Outside of work, Chris enjoys playing basketball, taking film photographs, making espresso drinks, and hiking with his wife and dog.

  • Prior to joining Orrick, Chris was an associate in the private equity transactions group of another large international law firm.

    • Represented Bain Capital in its majority investment in Blackpoint Cyber, a provider of managed detection and response cybersecurity.*
    • Represented Compass Group Diversified Holdings in its acquisition of The Honey Pot Company, a leading "better-for-you" feminine care brand.*
    • Represented Crosspoint Capital in its majority investment in ReversingLabs, a supply chain software security and malware analysis platform.*
    • Represented Dragoneer Investment Group in its investment in Instructure, a leading learning ecosystem.*
    • Represented EQT in financing its acquisition of Avetta, a global provider of supply chain risk management software.*
    • Represented EQT in its acquisition of PageUp Group, a provider of human resources and talent tracking software.*
    • Represented Genstar Capital in its sale of 2-10 Home Buyers Warranty, a provider of new home structure warranty protection plans.*
    • Represented Tillman Fiber, a developer of open-access fiber infrastructure, on a committed project financing.*
    • Represented TPG in its acquisition of DIRECTV from AT&T.*
    • Represented Varsity Healthcare Partners in its acquisition of VetEvolve, a veterinary care platform.*
    • Represented a minority investor in a consortium to acquire a skilled nursing facility and therapist staffing platform.*
