Michael Keeley Joins Orrick as Global Head of Capital Markets with Partner Ben Richards

• A leading IPO, equity and debt capital markets advisor, Michael Keeley, joins Orrick as Global Head of Capital Markets. He will be joined by rising star partner Ben Richards in the coming weeks.
• Michael and Ben advise issuers and banks on all types of equity and debt capital markets transactions, including IPOs, PIPEs, high-yield, investment-grade and convertible debt offerings, preferred equity and hybrid offerings, tender offers and exchange offers.
• Michael and Ben also advise public companies and their officers and directors on corporate governance and compliance matters, and they act for the portfolio companies of several leading funds, with an emphasis on the tech sector. They also add experience in public company M&A.
• Michael and Ben were named among American Lawyer's Dealmakers of 2025 for advising on Boeing’s $24.25 billion concurrent common stock and mandatory convertible preferred stock offering – the second-largest follow-on equity offering in U.S. history.
• Michael will be based in New York and Ben will be based in San Francisco and join Orrick from Kirkland & Ellis.
