Catener, a joint investment vehicle formed by Tenergie and a consortium of eight Crédit Agricole regional banks, has acquired 49% of the shares and current accounts of a holding company owning a diversified portfolio of operational solar and wind power assets in France, with a total capacity of 75 MW. The assets are located in the departments of Deux-Sèvres, Landes, Charente-Maritime, Somme and Var, and form the foundation for Catener’s future growth as the vehicle plans to progressively expand its portfolio.
Orrick advised Tenergie on the structuring and establishment of Catener and the transaction.
Tenergie is one of France’s leading independent renewable energy producers, with a focus on the development, financing, construction and operation of solar and wind power assets nationwide.
This transaction enables the mobilization of regional investment to accelerate the deployment of renewable energy infrastructure across local territories. The structuring reinforces the long-term territorial anchoring of these assets and supports France’s energy transition objectives.
The Orrick team was led by Olivier Jouffroy and includes Julien Beloeil and Elodie Maecha.
