Law360 Recognizes Tech and Infrastructure Teams as Practice Groups of the Year

  • Law360 has named Orrick a 2024 Practice Group of the Year in the Technology and Construction categories.
  • This is the 4th time the publication has named the firm a practice group of the year in tech, and the 9th time overall our project finance and infrastructure teams have earned practice group of the year recognition.
  • Our tech sector work this past year included advising AI leader Anthropic on its multi-billion-dollar investment from Amazon, as well as AI-focused acquisitions for SAP and Workday. Our litigators also continued their successful representation of Sonos in its global patent battle with Google, and won a $2 billion appeal for Pegasystems involving one of the largest trade secrets judgments in U.S. history.
  • Our energy and infrastructure team was recognized for pioneering work in construction law that has been instrumental in advancing alternative delivery projects across the United States. This includes playing a key role in the $16 billion Hudson Tunnel Project, a critical infrastructure initiative; advising the City of New York’s Department of Design and Construction (NYCDDC on innovative delivery methods such as CM-Build, design-build, and guaranteed maximum price design-build, including the ambitious $13 billion Borough Based Jails program; and a groundbreaking construction, energy guarantee, and financing program for hospital systems and campuses nationwide.
