Félix, a chat-based platform that enables Latinos in the U.S. to send money abroad, has raised $15.5 million in a funding round.

Orrick advised Félix on this funding round as well as a seed funding round that closed in 2023.

“This funding marks a significant milestone in our journey to provide Latino workers with an easy and reliable way to send money home via WhatsApp,” the company said.

CEO Manuel J. Godoy thanked “our incredible investors, led by Castle Island Ventures.”

Félix combines blockchain and artificial intelligence to disrupt how remittances are done today and build the future of cross-border payments. The company “seeks to empower Latinos in the U.S. to care for what matters most back home.”

Godoy said the funding will help the company enhance its bot and infrastructure, expand into new markets and build its team.

“Each step brings us closer to achieving our ultimate goal of offering the best way to send money to Latin America,” Godoy said.

The Orrick team advising Félix included Andrew Wallach and Andres Yarto.
